In this National week of prayer, we are joining the Pray Ottawa, City on Our Knees prayer event. Every day this week we will focus our prayer on a different subject. Today, we are praying for Social Justice
Together, we lift our voices to God for social justice.
“’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31
Please pray:
That people would live in right relationship with God and others and love all people as image-bearers of God, without prejudice or bias.
That all people in our city – including the disadvantaged – are consulted and included in decisions affecting them.
That justice and mercy would be impartially rendered.
That we would as a city consider how we care for “the least of these” and seek God’s strength and provision to help where help is needed.
For access to good health care for every person.
“And the King answering, will say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did it to Me.’” – Matthew 25:40
