2022 Month of Prayer - Public Authorities

January 21st

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”

City on Our Knees Prayer Points:

  • Recovery in all the ways they may be depleted from the last 22 months of intense demands

  • Mental and physical health and protection

  • Their decisions to be good for the people of Ottawa

  • Micah 6:8 “to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly”

  • Raise up Christians and people of righteousness in positions of authority

  • Christians in these roles to shine their light as God gives them opportunities

Municipal Election, Oct. 24, 2022. Candidates must register by August:

  • Pray that God would raise up a great new Mayor with humility, integrity, wisdom, compassion and courage.

  • Discussions and debates would focus on the most timely and important Issues

  • Media to report wisely and fairly

January 16th - January 22nd.

  • Pray for local Councillors, Scott Moffat (Rideau-Goulbourn), Carol Anne Meehan (Riverside South) and Jan Harder (Barrhaven).

  • Pray for Scott Moffatt's successor.

  • Pray for first responders, School officials and Civil Servants.

  • First Nations Leaders and representatives.
